The food is great and it’s definitely home made to order, not frozen stuff from the big suppliers. We ordered the cream of mushroom soup, very creamy and had the nice texture of chopped mushroom. We tried the crab dip and it came with a roll of bread. The dip had pieces of crab meat and quite cheesy as well. We also ordered the fried oysters entree. The very large oysters had a nice crunchy batter that were cooked perfectly. The side of Mac and cheese was baked with extra cheese on top, very nice touch. The sweet potatoes masher had a light touch of bourbon and it’s perfect for the meal.
The decor fits the style of the restaurant that caters to locals and casual dinning but with excellent food. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The only negative was that we were not informed about the happy hour has a different cutoff time for those who sit in the booths or tables than those at the bar and high tables.

2/2020: We came back and tried out the Happy Hour special. The mussels with garlic and wine sauce were great. We ordered the nachos with chicken and we were delighted that the nachos were freshly made, crunchy and loaded with everything served in a huge platter. The service was great and our server/bartender was very pleasant.
