We are not local residents but this park was a great place to take a break from driving and stretch our legs a bit. The fountain in the middle of the pond is what caught my attention. It’s too bad the paved walkway ends in a “cul-de-sac” instead of finishing the circumference of the pond. Even a gravel walkway would allow access to a more shaded area to walk and complete the circuit.
I don’t know about the “creepy people” referenced in some of the other reviews… we were here before 9:00 a.m. so that may help to avoid that negative element.
All in all it was a pleasant experience and worth the time and effort.
