I came in without a reservation and got a choice of a primitive site for $15 or a site with electric and water for $30. I chose the primitive site. I think there are only 4 primitive sites total. I guess the other campers didn’t show up, so I had about 1 acre to myself- so peaceful and quiet!
The roads were kind of hard to follow and there were some biting flies in the middle of the day. I didn’t see many mosquitoes at night. But the people were friendly and accommodating. Bathroom was clean (I liked the music), campsite was clean with grass and trees. What a great value and pleasant atmosphere.
Make sure to check out Broadskill Beach 10 min away. It’s a quiet peaceful beach that’s a horseshoe crab sanctuary. I flipped about 20 stranded crabs. Beach Plum preserve is also nearby. It is a nice marsh but lots of biting flies.
