Rehoboth Ale House
The good things first. The waiter was very friendly. The place looks nice. The ingredients of the foods I tried were top notch that's why I was expecting really good food but......now the bad things, the way they were prepared, either the guy in the kitchen was new and they used him because it was a Sunday noon, off season or he had a really bad day.
1. 80% of the flatbread was burned on the bottom. I basically mostly ate the topping.
2. Wings with there signature sauce were so salty I couldn't eat them and had to return them. The new wings were completely dry, I'm not exaggerating. I didn't want to make a scene so I just took them home and basically threw them away. I mean I can't complain about everything it makes me feel uncomfortable.
3. Steak sandwich was good
4. Irish potato chips with topping. Chips were soaked in oil (I can live with that) and the cheese that was on top of it wasn't even melted. We were the only people in there eating. It's not like he didn't have time to leave the food in the oven for a little longer.
It's sad that they have such a bad cook because you can tell by the ingredients that the person who created the dishes is a foodie.
I really enjoy stopping into this place from time to time...friendly folks...can't rate the food because I've never eaten here...love the fact that they are open until 1:00 am...when the rest of the town has shut down even in the worst of weather they are still hanging in there and going strong. When you have those nights when you're just not ready to "throw in the towel" so soon this is a good place to go !
This is a great, "all-around" bar/restaurant... the food is great. the beer selection is always diverse, and the staff is always great. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the bar is located IN THE ABSOLUTE MIDDLE of a high volume tourist area. As a semi--local to the region, this is one of my favorite spots! Some of the quasi-negative reviews on google are out of their minds!
Pretty good beer selection and the food was super yummy! I had the salmon and it came with potatoes and asparagus. Potatoes were served cold and I was not a fan, you’d think it would have specified that on menu and the asparagus was kinda mushy. Aside from super minor details, the place was quick and casual! Would definitely recommend and would easily come back.
Why is this place never crowded? Great beer selection, solid food and decent service. Prices are in line and atmosphere is fun with big windows facing the street. I've been here twice and had a good experience both times. The burger was fantastic and crab mac & cheese borderline addicting. I'll be back!
