Market Kitchen & Bar
We came here for Valentine’s Day and the food was phenomenal. I had steak and my partner had crab cakes. They were both beyond delicious full of flavor and wonderful presentation.
Fantastic service from Amanda and the food is great. I loved the blackened shrimp, chorizo, cheese grits also the grilled honey lime glazed salmon.
Extremely disappointed. Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Before we left, I asked the front desk what time the bar/kitchen closed. The pleasant woman at the front desk told us we could order at minimum, a limited menu until 1 a.m. in the bar area. We went into the bar area at 11:15 p.m., sat at a table at which point the bartender shouted to our table that “there’s no tables, what do you want?!” we placed a drink order and asked about food. The bartender then stated there was no food available. The bartender was extremely rude and dismissive. We felt rushed and like we were an inconvenience to the bartender, despite the fact that there was another large table seated in the bar area. Super disappointing as we planned our evening on being able to order food and drinks at the hotel. Had we known they were going to close early, we would have stayed where we were and ordered food there. The bartender was a severe disappointment as every other staff member we encountered was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Even if the kitchen was closed, he didn’t have to be so rude about it. Thanks for ending our weekend on a negative note.
2 stars only for the happy hour apps, which were pretty good, but 1 star for everything else.
The food was under seasoned or not seasoned at all, fatty to the point of inedible, plates came out with food all over the sides, drinks were so strong they were not drinkable and the server couldn't pronounce the menu items as well as not knowing what was available for happy hour.
I typically don't like posting bad reviews but I saw quite a few positive ones regarding this restaurant, so I thought it would be worth checking out. I left $56 later for my food and drink alone still hungry and honestly with a bad taste literally and figuratively in my mouth. I just wanted to put this out there in case someone else was thinking of dining here.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice. Service could of been better. Hate having to wait til the very end of a 3 course meal to get a single refill on drinks.
