Chili’s Grill & Bar
Chili’s is my second favorite restaurant to ever exist in the world! My favorite thing they have is their cheese fries! They have really good salads. My friend told me she ordered the chicken once from here and got food poisoning. Since she told me that I never order anything with chicken in it from Chili’s anymore.
It was pretty busy for a Tuesday. I guess they didn’t expect this and they understaffed. Something was definitely off. We saw tables waiting around for their servers around us.
We were sat under the dimmest lights,so it looked like we were in a dungeon. The entire table was sticky. Our waitress was barely around.
Definitely not our best experience here.
The food was good and as described on the menu. However, the service was horrendous, we sat for 15 min before being acknowledged, waited another 10 min to get our drinks and place our order, received the wrong appetizer, asked for the one we actually ordered and finally received it as we were leaving. After someone else dropped our meals, the server never came back to recheck our food or refill our drinks. When we got the bill, she had charged us for both appetizers.
I've been a server and I know how things can go sideways on you at times, but this was at 2:30pm, the restaurant wasn't busy and the server had one other table of two. Most of the issues seemed to stem from lack of proper training, imho. Chili's should do better by their employees.
The kids menu is awesome has lots of options for them to choose from. My son didn't like the grilled cheese, the cheese didn't look very melted. My daughter loved everything. I got the avocado sirloin it tasted metallic. The shrimp were cold eventhough the plate was too hot to touch. I wasn't that pleased with my food but service was good, our server was friendly and attentive to our table. I'm glad I found that gift card, if I had to pay for all of what we got I would've been mad and I would've sent my food back. In my experience Chili's steaks are always very fatty, which is why I avoid it on Veterans Day eventhough it's a free meal. Chili's seems to be trying to improve but there is still room for improvement.
2 for $25 is a good deal!! Our server was really friendly and efficient! But we should have asked to be seated away from the door, too cold
